Nathalie Kabongo Chavez
Originally from Mexico, Attorney Nathalie Kabongo-Chavez brings a unique and diverse background to Sessoms Law Group. With roots in both Mexico and the Democratic Republic of Congo through her parents, she has a strong appreciation for the immigrant experience. Having moved to Atlanta in May 2024 after graduating from Roger Williams University School of Law, Attorney Nathalie is committed to guiding clients through the complex and often daunting immigration system.
As a child of immigrants and an immigrant herself, Attorney Nathalie became a naturalized U.S. citizen in February 2017, an achievement that fuels her dedication to helping others navigate the path to citizenship and lawful residency. During law school, she served as a student attorney in the immigration clinic, focusing on humanitarian visa cases. She later completed an internship at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) in Atlanta, working again on humanitarian cases specifically for unaccompanied minors.
At Sessoms Law Group, Attorney focuses on family petitions, humanitarian visas, and removal defense. Her favorite part of the job is interacting with her clients and providing them with the support they need to succeed in their petitions. Known for her warm, people-oriented approach, she is dedicated to making a positive impact on her clients’ lives.
Although she has lived in various places, Sarasota, Florida is where she considers home, having spent the majority of her life there. Outside of work, Attorney Nathalie enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, trying new restaurants, cooking, walking on the Beltline, and spoiling her beloved dog.
